TRACE ‒ 布石をたどる
カセットテープは単なる音声メディアではなく、人々の記憶や文化、DIY精神を記録してきたメディアです。
過去から現在も進化を続けているカセットの「TRACE ‒ 布石をたどる」をテーマに、 ライフスタイルの中で音楽に向き合うメディアとして、カセットの体験・復刻・芸術・文化・展示イベントを、今年7月から8月に渋谷・仙台・箱根にて開催します。
TRACE - Tracing the Prelude
Cassette tapes are not merely a medium for music; they are a medium that has recorded people’s memories, culture and the DIY spirit.Under the theme ‘TRACE’, which explores the cassette’s ongoing evolution from the past to the present, we will be hosting a series of events from July to August this year focusing on the cassette as a medium for engaging with music in everyday life, covering experiences, reissues, art, culture and exhibitions.
2026年の国産化カセット60周年の節目を記念 して｢カセットの日｣®︎ (Cassette Days)開催！
2026 marks the 60th anniversary of the introduction of domestically produced cassettes in Japan
‘Cassette Days’ is set to take place!
今も進化しているカセットに触れてもらう。
カセットを初めて使う方はご自身の声を録音してみたり、家のどこかに眠っているカセットを持参して聴いてみたり、お気に入りの曲をダビングしてみたり、CDとカセット音源を聴き比べてみたり。
また、カセットをモチーフにしたアートやビンテージラジカセの展示、世界的に話題となっている「カセットDJ」が出演してジャンルを分けた演奏。
そんなカセットに少し向き合ってみるイベントです。
We’ll give you the chance to experience cassette tapes, which are still evolving today.
You can record the voices of parents who lived through the era and children using them for the first time, dub your own tapes, or compare the sound quality of CDs and cassettes.
There will also be art inspired by cassettes, an exhibition of vintage equipment, and sets by cassette DJs playing remixes organised by genre.
This is an event that invites you to explore the world of cassettes.

Cassette tapes and players represent a part of Japanese culture that we can be proud of on the world stage, having once been produced by many domestic manufacturers. Although cassettes have declined in popularity with the advent of digital technology, they are now being rediscovered by a generation that favours an analogue lifestyle, and we are sharing this culture with the world !

カセットのラベルをデザインしてみませんか？
皆様のカセット本体へのデザインを募集いたします！
かつて手書きで曲名など書き入れたデザイン、実際にカセットをリリースされたことがある方はその作品、思いのままに作ってみたデザインなど規定はございません。
応募いただいた作品から一部をイベント会場に展示させていただき、反響が大きかった作品には、副賞としてホテル宿泊券やカセットプレーヤー、ブランクテープ、オリジナルグッズなどを贈呈いたします！
Why not try your hand at designing a cassette label?
For this event, we are inviting entries for designs to be printed on cassette tapes! A selection of the submitted designs will be displayed at the event venue, and the entries that receive the most positive feedback will be awarded prizes such as hotel vouchers, cassette players, blank tapes and original merchandise!

ロゴや文字などを自由にデザインしていただき、カセットテープ製作会社｢CASSETTE EXPRESS｣がそのデザインで唯一無二のカセットを1本作って、会場に展示させていただきます！
アーティストやデザイナーの方のみならず、お子様のお絵描き・昔を思い出すオリジナルのミックステープの手書きラベル、過去作品など、たくさんの方々のご応募をお待ちしております！

We invite you all to design your own logos and text, and the cassette tape production company ‘CASSETTE EXPRESS’ will use your designs to create one-of-a-kind cassettes, which will be displayed at the venue!

●応募方法 (How to)：テンプレートのリンクから雛形をダウンロードしてデザインをお願いします。そのファイルを普段お使いのオンラインストレージへアップロード後、エントリーフォームに必要事項とアップロードしたリンクを貼り付けて送信してください。デザイン雛形は紙ラベル(ラベルステッカー)、本体直接プリントからお選びいただけます。
